La Fontana in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm

We have eaten on site a few times, we had something delivered lately and it was always excellent. Even when we spontaneously ordered something on Christmas Day without pre-ordering something that was not on the menu, this was implemented very well.

Long-established Italian restaurant, with very tasty food and a nice atmosphere. Toni has something for every taste ... at the moment I think his special offers are mega ? Here he mixes his Italian roots ... with Bavarian recipes from the family ... and brings delicious food to the plate, such as Toni's roast pork ? Really recommend!

As is so often the case at home and in Italy, we ordered the mixed starter plate and were unfortunately disappointed. Loveless and not rich in taste or qualitative highlights, as we have often seen elsewhere. Unfortunately, no indication on the menu that shrimp and vegetables predominate on this plate, the vegetables were all pickled and with a uniform taste. Unfortunately nothing was typically Italian seasoned or refined. The Fontana salad was not convincing in terms of its appearance or taste. Tuna and artichoke were very sparingly distributed and the olives didn't score well either. The ambience in the outside area is quite nice in the evening due to the lights on the table, but the chairs outside are uncomfortable. Conclusion: I was unfortunately disappointed overall.

Very good food, friendly service

The sea bass was really very good. Service was thoughtful and friendly. An hour passed before dinner, where a little bread and olives would have helped. We also missed the little schnapps afterwards. The supporting program was a bit un-Italian.

First choice for Italian in Pfaffenhofen. The meeting point for everyone who wants more than pizza and pasta.

Service and food always in the usual good quality. Very full in winter and therefore a little noisy atmosphere. Prices are sometimes not a bargain, but quite reasonable in terms of quality.

Small portions and above-average prices leave you hungry after eating. Was so 2 years ago, is still the case today. Food is delicious. Staff was always very nice with us.

Returning home I have a strong memory of the evening spent at "La Fontana" in Tonel, the best Italian restaurant in the town. It boasts a tradition of some decades; two generations of restaurateurs, true Italians, took turns. The staff is mainly Italian. Very clean. I had the experience of a great dinner of really fresh fish, well presented and cooked. Excellent white wines, mainly Italian but not only. Fast and impeccable service, serene and jovial environment, not swampy, even though the place is elegant and modern, with lights designed to create an intimate but functional atmosphere. Although in Munich, a big city, you can find all the main cuisines of the world, I find it worthwhile to go to Phaffenhofen to taste, for example, a fabulous plate of spaghetti with clams and creamy sauces. Or in Phaffehofen or in Naples and its surroundings.

Wonderful Excellent cuisine & professional staff

We were on 29.06.2018 for the first time in this restaurant in Pfaffenhofen I must say that the 90% fresh vegetable antipasto freshly made without artificial flavors or canned flavors. Very good and second course Spaghetti with mushroom sauce and Parmesan cheese. Excellent!! Al dente as it should be. Few restaurants in Germany that claim to be Italian prepare pasta well, I've checked! The wine was good ..... I must say the staff are generally friendly but the boss is only friendly with his close customers !! To eat well I recommend it .....

Nice Italian restaurant. Food GOOD. Pizza enough to feed at least 2 people. Great variety of beers and wines. Will return again.
